The days in Ivalo where quite exhausting, as the ones in Inari. As quickly as possible, I tried to make the bikingtour known amongst the inhabitants and tried to spread the impact of the bikingtour for the protected Wolf. I went to different meetingplaces in town and improvised with the bike and the flaggs.

Outside Kultahippo hotell, several stores were situated that sponsored me with a strong discount on their products. Rainpants was a very acute need and have been in need of them for several weeks now - as to the wheater situation. Thanks to sponsring of both Nordulv and the German couple Maggi and Klaus I now could buy some. I got 40% discount in the shop Maali-Konekota OY and besides that also - as a present - several biking-accessories such as lamps, batteries and spokes.

I can note that, despite the fact, that Ivalo is known as a region of sami and reindeer-herding, the people I have met are very positive towards to keep and protect the Wolf. I also met Natascha with her six friends from Murmansk, who were visiting Ivalo on a daytrip from Murmansk. Her opinion on Sami's way of keeping reindeers and hunting Wolves was that it was very unwise. She and her friends support the bikingtour.

Today, I will stay in Ivalo in order to get to a internet store to be able to arrange a better way of connecting to internet. Then it will be easier to update the blogg continuosly. I also will meet Inarilainen for an interview. Paulina and Hotel Kultahippu provided me with a empowering breakfast this morning and will sponsor one more night at the hotel - GREAT SPONSORS!

This morning, I stopped by at Kultahovi Hotel and was, once again, sponsored with a good breakfast in order to gain power for todays trip to Ivalo (about 38 km). I also made a last round across town and put up even more flyers on the situation of the Wolves and the Biking for Wolves project. As I told before, here in Inari is the center of the Sami power - their parliament - and a lot of people here need to be egaged against the criminal assaults on Wolves.

Just before I left Inari, I also was interviewed by Yle Sapmi, the television and radiostation - I expect them to put out the interview on the internet within some hours. So: check the link:

Having arrived at 20.00 at Ivalo, quite wet after 38 km biking in rain (again) - I was wonderfully sponsored by Paulina Rintela and Hotel Kultahippu: - with a night at the hotell - THANK YOU VERY MUCH - this was excellent!

It is almost unbelievable, the room I got: there is a livingroom and entrace at the first floor, and upstairs there is a bedroom with four beds! And a private sauna in the bathroom! It is like having your own appartment - apart from that the hotel is really beautiful inside! This was sponsored! THANKS!
